Hey I gotta quick question Beast. How are women generally viewed in this society? The character I have been thinking about is a hunter, pretty independent and self sufficient. Is that reasonable in this world? That's perfectly reasonable. The sexes are fairly equalized in this world. In fact there are a few nations rule strictly by the line of queens lol. Our locale is a parliament though, lol but there are a few women in it. |

Strike the last statement, or at least the parliament part, the Helios Ishtar is rule by kings of course, don't know why is said that. the equality applies still though women are still usually considered physically weaker so you will have male chauvinist pigs to deal with lol. As for plot points, Well you said you wanted to be a hunter right? Hunting without permit is STICKING illegal due to the limited wildlife on the floating lands. So you could point that out from a view point of either an illegal hunter or a permitted one. |

I see. I may have to play around with that. Are the guards/soldiers only male? I want to give her somewhat of a generally male role, but I don't know that I want to push her all the way to outlaw =)

They're special to her sentimentally as well as the provider of sustenance and living. The goddess was worship pretty strongly for a few hundred years. There are still some areas on the Ishtar that still have a high worship of her but for the most part, including Helios, she's a patron saint level. You know, people have little necklaces or edifices of her, they kiss or rub or otherwise make brief contact with such things as their prayers. Nothing SUPER ritualistic. But Oracles have been known through the history of the floating lands. though most would treat them as a hoax, some would take them seriously, if done right. |
