Well in the original storyline she and another character Lemina basically turn on the others. the two groups of players set against each other. The boys with the prince fighting to saying the floating lands from falling. The Girls by order of an unnamed god/goddess were given sight to a truth and as such fought to end the floating lands.
The groups even went down to the low lands a few times in the story and it never made it to the end. But the story will end with the lands falling no matter what direction we go in this.
Aladriel would be able to whisper in Daphne's head. tell her things making it sound like her own thoughts. This can be quite powerful. Oh and for the record, all those with a piece of Aladriel in them automatically ascend to her realm after their deaths. Basically joining the ranks of the Chevaliers but not often sent out unless Aladriel finds them heroic (whether good or evil).
Oh the wondrous wars that are waged in her realm between nemeses she reaped at the same time, lol.

Hm hm hm. So are the characters having pieces of Aladriel?
Should I maybe be another character so that the Goddess can do whatever is convenient?

Hrmies. Well, that would make the sacrifice worth something then, wouldn't it? If it meant saving everyone...

Cool, but feel free to introduce characters as you will. And everyone else as well, i don't care if we all have half a dozen characters so long as a few of them are well connected and are the focus of the story throughout.

Then I'll do the Goddess and probably someone else so that I won't always be lonely. This is acceptable?

So far I have Zachary and Constantine.
Now, I have a question. Would there be any circumstance under which the Goddess might be persuaded to take a human as her Consort? Obviously he would become a Chevalier after death, but he might be like the Captain of the Chevaliers or something. I'm thinking various ideas depending upon how the story goes.
Either way, Zachary would end up being reaped. He is too brave for her not to notice. I just kind of want him to have his moment as well.

Ok, so I hope it's OK. Zachary is proving to be more difficult this time around. I'm trying to make him a mixture of irresponsible irreverence and earnest military man. He's like that politician that's great at making everyone like him, but once he's in charge has no idea what to do next. But if you give him a sword, he's fricken Conan.

Also...his physicality is based a little off Josh Dallas. I've been watching too much "Once Upon a Time" lately.

Yeah, I really wanted to make him be a good guy. He really wants what's best for Helios, but he's not a brave man. He, like Anatoli, is an administrator. Times of war and chaos are not good for him as he has an issue with his plans going awry. While he loves Zachary, he truly believes his younger brother is irresponsible and there is a bit of jealousy there. So when Zach starts spewing wild tales of magic failing and the Ishtar falling, Constantine is going to think he's gone insane and is trying to undermine Helios out of some sense of childish adventure...it's not going to end well. They're sort of meant to be opposite: Zachary would quail at administrative tasks, but in times of adversity he really shines, and Constantine is the responsible day-to-day one, but he is not a brave man.
I'm glad that you approve. I wasn't sure if people knew about rebellion, so I left it as rumor...

I'm glad for the rumoring turmoil, makes things possible while keeping the surprise available. even the bandit's excuse that Constantine suggested could easily happen, just the bandits this time aren't human, lol. I will keep the scene where Daphne is attacked by the flying beasts. Not that Zachary is doing a bad job of protecting the fields but the animal kingdom feels strife first before man.
They're agitated.
I don't think Zachary has ever met Daphne. He possibly doesn't know that her parents are dead, that happened long before he became the guardsman. I figure he assumes some old geezer runs the place and lives in the barn house. The actually fire charred ruin of the main house (grand as it once was) is off in the far fields near the edge.

I just added yesterday, dude...
Also, if Daphne is living in a barn....Zachary will want to rebuild the manor house. He's not good with people suffering.

She is living in a barn. I figured Zachary wouldn't have realized a manor had ever been there since he was a young teen when it burned down and was likely off having fun when the people in the palace were in an uproar over the Ophanim cutbacks it meant. (given that the only person left that could urge the Ophanim to grow was a little girl. Even if they sent workers out to help during harvest times the amount grown would be less until she got older and could extend her influence further.

But i very much doubt she would turn him down if he wanted to restore her mother's manor.
