Well, there's the historical angle. Important people from the heights of Gaian Civilization. Mynos, Caesar, Nefertiti, Charlemagne, Churchill, etc. Maybe the American one is Roosevelt (Teddy, not Franklin) and the Japanese is Miyamoto?
Something like that.

What about famous battles or something? It could totally be like "Wounded Knee Station"
Or not. xD

Only if we can call it Tippecanoe and then the other one can be Tyler. That way, people can refer to them as Tippecanoe and Tyler too.
I totally crack myself up sometimes.
That was the campaign slogan of William Henry Harrison and John Tyler.

Wheeee! I actually got that reference! lol
Ah history.
As for Japan, Miyamoto would be good for a warrior but Tokugawa, Date, or Toyotomi would also be good. Hell the best I could think of would be Oda (as in Oda, Nobunaga the Demon King).

Hey, at least no one threw out Mitsubishi...
I will definitely add to this, guys. I'm a little pressed for time this week and haven't even thought about what to do this round.
Something with Edward, obviously. I have to make him a little more sympathetic, I think.
If Matt's cool with it, I might reveal that Shlomi is actually alive, but crippled. And pissed at Omega for killing Jerri.
And then I have to continue the whole Laras/Mia thing...
Oy vey.

Oda was cool in the Samurai Warriors games. (See? Video Games~) My vote wouldn't be for Toyotomi though. But I don't have any alternative ideas.

Of course I'm ok with Shlomi being alive.
How many free range characters have we got at the moment again?

Oh dear God, I have no idea. So many.
Shlomi, Zephyr's Omega characters, your Russians, 5276 more people...

Video game wise things are much different than history. Toyotomi was a serious badass in history and had 6 fingers on one hand (weird) and in the games he's goofy with an annoying voice. If we were gonna be all Samurai Warriors about it it'd have to be either Sanada, Yukimura or Honda, Tadakatsu.
Of course I could always go with the whole Benkei and Yoshitsune thing but they were rebels and that wouldn't fit Omega's motif in the least.

I'm sorry, but Honda makes me think of automobiles. I would just assume that Omega Station Honda was a manufacturing plant.
(...and then, when I made a smart ass remark, an Omega agent would kill me...)

Matt, love, I forget what the plan was with Shlomi again? Gattaca style, right? Jude Law, if I recall. Someone overwhelmed by their own greatness (and yet never living up to his own expectations), who tries to run from it, but is instead stuck in a wheelchair and forced to live out his dreams through someone else?
I see the similarities up until the trying to run away and getting stuck, which is obviously what happened as he tried to get away at the end of Renegade and came back to warn everyone. But from there, I'm not sure what you wanted to happen.
I was thinking that he gets rescued from the rubble (unconscious, and paralyzed from the waist down) by Omega and pretends to be a cook, or something, someone who had nothing to do with underground Oxford. He goes so far as to adopt the persona of one of the kitchen staff and, while recovering, actually becomes friendly with one of the doctors (not Doctors, just doctors) who's healing him. I wanted to let this doctor show the more...human side of Deklahn, I guess. Why people would not support the rebellion and stuff. This doctor (a human hybrid from another planet TBD) wanted a peaceful solution--joined Omega to heal people, to help them, to show Omega that treating Gaians like enemies will only make enemies of them, etc etc. And he and Shlomi have talks and stuff.
I was thinking, then, that eventually Shlomi is found out--the real kitchen dude he was pretending to be turns up, or they find him, or something--and the doctor actually helps him escape somehow. Maybe in a reverse Gattaca--he gives Shlomi a new identity (someone in Omega whose profile matches his own, perhaps, a retired agent wounded in action) and credentials, or something. I obviously don't think Shlomi will go far physically, but this could set us up for the third campfire. His whole storyline this campfire could be this relationship with an Omega doctor, and he escapes in the end. He and Max (the one who gets into Roosevelt Omega Prime Vanderbilt Station) represent the light in the darkness.
Any ideas?
I write this whole thing because I wanted to start up Shlomi's storyline soon.
Also, if Ascetic doesn't become more reliable, we need a contingency in which Charon dies. Laras, Mia, Edward, Phelps (he's had enough happen) and perhaps Tada have to make it to the end, I think. Edward has to become an Ambassador of sorts to the other planets, Edward the King (and leader of the Rebuild Earth movement), Mia and Laras go off to fight more battles. Tada could probably die, but it would have to be in a final, heroic, "FUCK YOU OMEGA" kind of way. Like using the wiring in his head to blow shit up, or something.
Aaaaand I've gone into planning mode again. Sorry guys.
I started planning my addition and it got me thinking.

Think of this campfire as our version of "The Empire Strikes Back". By the end, Mia and Tada will be Jedi, Han Solo (Max) will be trapped in carbonite (stuck in the middle of Omega), and the Rebellion will be at rock bottom.
See? Analogous. Although it will borrow a bit of "they will feel the power of this fully operational space station" from "Return of the Jedi", as Omega will totally turn the infiltration mission at the end into a bit of a clusterfuck that ends up killing most everyone involved. It'll only be a lucky miracle that Max gets in OK and that'll be because his partner will insist that Max kill him to secure his position.
Yes.

Okay Quaddy I respond to your cry. I think I heard from Florida lol.
As far as Tada dying I dunno. I'm not sure I have control over that, but I know once he comes out of his insanity slump death isn't going to be much on his agenda. He's going to become much more focused on taking them down but I can see it becoming a huge drive to the point where he'd let himself into a situation that could only end in his death. I'd like him to make it to the end as long as I do though, but we'll see.
As for Shlomi, if he is found and such who's going to go out there and find him? Did you want me to have some of General Gyle's guys scout out the area and find him when they show up to the ramshackle base that Tada destroyed?

It's up to you, Zeph. Tada would live all the way to the end of Resurrection Earth and endgame. Unless you leave, in which case you get the Paige effect and deadeded. I just think that Tada making a grand heroic stand to stick it to the bastards who fucked with his brain...is kinda cool.
I've decided that there is a clean-up effort going on at Oxford, under the auspices of a very...sympathetic Omega Sergeant. I'm using Shlomi's story to show the nice side of Deklahn and Omega. It's something I really want to do, actually. Make Omega seem like something more than just the evil Empire.
I also want to work on some crazy rebels.

Lol okay then cool. As far as the death goes I'll see how it plays out. Tada's gonna do what Tada's gonna do so it all depends on the situations that come up. It could happen, but I plan on seeing this through as a writer

Definitely. Anyone who is a part of RE gets to stay a part of RE. Like Fight Club, only we talk about it...and stuff.
I definitely want people involved from Renegade through all the way to Resurrection.

RE. RE. RE. To the end. Imagine if Laras died. That would be a plot twist from hell. Also I'd probably go into mourning.
Also if you're on the east coast, don't die ok?

Laras can't die! Laras and Mia go off into the sunset to fight more wars (and each other) together forever!
No children, though. I dunno that Mia's the kind to be a mother...
As for Sandy, we here in South Florida are laughing our asses off at everyone up north. It's a fricken Category 1 storm. Wimps.
