Is it true you guys call badges, buttons? The ones you pin to bags and stuff?

I mean you have biscuits and cookies and we have biscuits and cookies but they're different things.
And I just had a weird moment where I was like... we have badges and buttons but are our badges different to your badges?

Badges are the things that police and law enforcement show to prove their station or boy and girl scouts show to prove how much time they wasted becoming "America's last line of defense".
Buttons are things you press for various effects or the little round things on shirts that you fasten to close them.
