Long ago, early in Rouicia's history, a prophesy was made that implied such danger and destruction that even the Gods took notice and quailed in fear. To ensure that this Prophesy never came to pass, six deities were called upon to create an image of themselves to act as an Avatar when the time came. Fearful that their creations would be found out and destroyed, the Gods did whatever they could to protect them; first these Avatars were hidden within Rouicia and then, as the time for the prophesy grew near, mere centuries prior to the rise of the Great Enemy, the Gods sent the Avatars as far from danger as possible: through the realms and onto another Plane.
Now in their new world, Earth, these Avatars lived through many lives, remembering nothing of their time spent in their true home. When the time for their return becomes evident, they are to come together on Earth, a convergence of seemingly normal human youths. They wouldn't know it, but their gathering would be necessary to open the portal into Rouicia. Only with their concurrent deaths would the vortex be powerful enough to send them back to their birthplace.
In Rouicia, the Great Enemy is in full power, wreaking havoc in the areas of the North and West. Calling himself a God and manipulating others into Monotheism, this creature is beginning to steal power away from the True Gods of the land. The Gods, weakened as they are, know that their Avatars have remained untouched, their power Unsullied by the influence of the Great Enemy; they know that it's time to call their Children back.
On Earth, the Avatars have reached adulthood; their lives are beginning to blossom--for some, love, for others, success and fame--and they are all happy to be living as they are. But now it is time for them to leave the Earth plane forever and return to Rouicia to take up the mantle of their destiny. So Death looms over them and reaches out to snatch them away from the lives they have known; to throw them into a world they know intimately, but cannot even remember.

Hi everybody! (Hi, Dr. Nick)
This is actually supposed to be a really easy campfire. Typical high fantasy.
The only thing I have to say is, when you kill off your character in the first round, do make sure to make it obvious that Rouicia was calling out to them. For example, a door shows up in my character's mind's eye, which she reaches out to and crosses through. If you want to use a door, go ahead. If you want to see a bridge or a gate or something, that works, too.
Other than that...well, that's about it. Any questions, comments, and concerns are totally cool by me.

No problemo, brotha. The person before you skipped and I know that can fuck up a timeline like nothing else.

I will shortly. Working on Mortality and then I'll get started on Rouicia. A couple of our writers have gone AWOL since starting this, but I think there's enough of us to work around it a bit.

Okie dokie flemokie. Addition is up. It's crap, but it's up. I'm never good at this sort of scene...the waking up in a strange new world. It's either scream and run like hell or accept it and move on. I think Regan is more the "well, I guess I'll roll with it" kind of person.

I have no problem. The characters are always different enough. This Regan/Calaei is nowhere near as...martial as Magistricide Regan. That Regan has the fate of entire race on her shoulders. She is hard, with jagged edges and harsh outlooks. Though she is fighting for humanity, she has had to push away and lock up what makes her human in order to defend them. She is a woman wholly of ideals and beliefs, but burns so bright, she is almost unapproachable.
Calaei is definitely a woman of beliefs--unassailable beliefs--but she is much softer, full of fears and self-doubts. She wants to be loved, but has never had luck, so she's built a wall around herself to keep herself safe. She has a sweeter sense of humor, and is softer. Magistricide Regan is unbreakable. This Regan/Calaei is mushy, even though both can fucking kill you.
So it's no problem for me.
