Um, should I make a board for this? If so where?

Oh gods, that actually made me laugh loudly enough to disturb the people around me...
They all think I'm crazy now.

I would appreciate a board for Sybeline. I forget so much things for it. I think Quaddy tells me something different every time I ask, just to mess with my brains. A board for selling Matt a banana is not necessary.

I do not! I tell you the same thing in different words. I literally just re-read our e-mail exchange...yesterday.
The ring is the phylactery, Joey is going to be the sex slave for an Incubus, Matthias is going to be on the receiving end of her kindness and consequently offer to teach her to fight and resist Rhys' sexy mind fucks, Joey is going to find out about the ring and the judgement of the Incubus Trials, they're going to escape (with Reynard) to Summer. On the way, Matthias is going to be injured and Joey is going to fight them off rather than abandon him thus earning respect and admiration and lurve.

What's he gotta do to earn her lurve?

Other than be a sexy half incubus man.

Let me rephrase. Whose campfire is this?

Post by Quaddy on Jan 5, 2013 15:11:38 GMT -6
Mine. Sorry. It's originally just mine and Mynt's, but we invited Matt to play Reynard.
To earn her lurve...keep her safe. Treat her like a human being and not a sex toy. Respect her. The usual.

Oooh. Things he's good at. Maybe not the safe part. I don't think he's ever had to protect someone else before.

Well, not letting other people kill her counts, too. Wanting to keep her safe is more what I meant.

So... uhm. I think I decided I wanted to re-do Witch Hunt instead. Anybody totally hate that idea?

Ooo, I can do that. I was getting bored with my character in that one. She is still a double agent fay with the ability to create such real illusions that they can fool all the senses...but I might make her a little tougher.
Hey Matt! Another campfire for us to write in together! You know what that means...

I know I'll have to make a different character this time around since there won't be anyone to take care of a wayward werewolf boy. lol.

Yeah...all I remember was being really confused that Wolfie killed her character off two rounds in...

She said she really hated her character and saw no future for her. And I was like... "oh, now that I'm stuck with a 10 year old boy who can't defend or take care of himself..."

I can see why it ended, then. Hard to do something with that.
Also, as far as this new campfire I'm trying to recreate and make my own...wanna help?
Basically, there are two kinds of people. They are both descended from the same people, but the Gods punished half of them for turning against the gods way back when. These people were sent into the valleys and became as the beasts. Stil had them lust for blood, but I dunno...
And then the other half, who remained righteous, were brought up into the skies to live with the gods themselves. These were called the Blessed Ones. They live in beautiful buildings and have laws and stuff.
Basically, the idea I had for my character would become the crux of the plot, as I believe Stil wanted to do something different. The Blessed Ones are not quite as good as they believe themselves to be and the Fallen Peoples are not quite as evil. Hyamar and Mahrya, who are younger gods and not in favor with the Sky God, want to overthrow the old regime, whom they see as stifling the peoples of the world and who have lost all connection with the people they purport to love and guide. So Hyamar and Mahrya, along with several of the lesser gods, recruit both Blessed and Fallen beings to overthrow the Old Gods.

I.. ooh it seems like you have it all planned out. What would you like me to do?

I want to work out the two different peoples. Give them proper names, develop them a little more. I have a loose plot, but I want the background spelled out so everyone can pick what they want to be/do. And to come up with a few lesser gods.
I have Hyamar for my character. This is the description I have of him: Hyamar was handsome, more handsome than anyone Aroneh had ever seen. His black eyes sparked with mischief, his well-formed limbs taut with wiry muscles. A pouch lay slung at his side, a pair of knives on his belt, and a fiddle case on his back. He was the God of Thieves, of Assassins, of the Shadows. He was God of Mischief and Lies, of Music and Theater, and Comedic Literature. Spoken of only in whisper or with laughter on the tongue, he was both feared and well loved amongst the masses, a figure of danger and simple fun.
There is also Mahrya/Marhya, depending on how someone wants to spend it. I never wrote a description, but she is Hyamar's twin. She is the Goddess of Soldiers and Warriors, Truth and Virtue, Justice and Philosophy. Basically, she is Hyamar's mirror. A goddess of Light and Dark, the extremes where Hyamar is the shadowy places. She is a Bright Goddess unlike Hyamar, who is not favored by the Sky God, but she supports her brother wholeheartedly as she is a young goddess and not much favored among the Old Gods (who call themselves the Bright Gods even though they aren't all bright things).
The Death God is also someone who supports their cause, but he is not new. He is an Old God, but he does not support what the Old Gods do to humanity. In fact, he claims newborn children as his own--the ones whom the Bright Gods would disdain and torture--in order to spare them the pain of their brief existence. He is disdainful of his eldest brother's arrogance and conceit and is even willing to sacrifice himself in order to free humanity from the Sky God's clutches.
Other than that, I am done. Basically, these three and a couple of other young gods are a group and they recruit humans they see as useful and use them to destroy the Bright Gods. I dunno if they want to free humanity from gods altogether and simply go wandering, or to begin a new era where humanity and gods are more beholden to one another.

So wait what...we're gods?
|
|
|
Post by Quaddy on Jan 6, 2013 2:10:14 GMT -6
No, we're human. But each child has a divine patron from amongst the younger generation of gods (or the Death God). Hyamar is Connor's patron. Some are Fallen, some are Blessed humans, and the gods pick whomever they see as most befitting the cause.

Does it make me dumb that I'm still a little confused?

This sounds sort of like an angels and demons thing. Cause the blessed get to live with the gods and everything. And the fallen are outcast and transformed.
Are we picking a god and a human to write about?
