I used to be able to just sit and do it. Write and write for hours. Somewhere along the line, I lost that. Now I'm like "why have I been sitting here for two minutes? I wonder if there is anything happening on the forums. Has anyone added to a campfire yet? You know, I left off in a really weird spot in my video game, I should probably play that. Oh ho, look at all this candy here. I should eat it all before it goes bad. Hey, I should look up more books to spruce up my bookshelf. I wonder what's happening downstairs."

Lol that's such a realistic thought process. I feel like that sometimes too. I'm still working on my anti hero add and I refresh the forum page like every ten minutes or so.

I have a pretty steady schedule at the 'Bucks. I'm off by 8 or 9, so I have tons of time to write at night. It's Humaya (my film group) that is taking up so much of my time at this point, but luckily I'm just the writer, so I don't have to be there for shooting or anything. Everyone is pushing me to take over as Assistant Director and I kind of laugh at them. I'm totally content to sit in my pajamas and write, thank you very much.

I think it's great. How long did you want to go before they escaped? The bulk of the story is after their escape, but we need long enough for him to teach her to fight, her to get tortured and turned over to the Incubus Lord, Joey to find and steal the ring, him to fall "in like" with her, and them to plan their escape with Reynard.

Well, I figured this might open the door for her to ask Reynard some questions about him. I'm sure in the two weeks of torture, Matthias wasn't the first thing on her mind. Then maybe she might ask Matthias some things herself. He'd probably offer to train her to fight off an incubus if he thinks she can actually do it and he knows for sure that she's being handed over to Rhys. Soo... I don't know a few rounds? With addition of Matt, our rounds are longer so in theory we can cover more story. xD

I believe he was going to offer when she was more concerned about him following a rape at Rhys' hands. He needed a reason to give a damn about her personally, right? And that was the reason. So a couple rounds before he offers to help, a couple rounds of learning to fight, a couple rounds of them just chatting and getting to know one another (the whole "you can't stay here- this place is too dark, and it'll only end up hurting you" bit), and then Joey finds the ring, they take it and Reynard and escape. I believe the plan was to use the ring, which is aspected to Rhys, to get past the golems, but they only get so far before they are attacked, at which point Matthias is wounded and, instead of abandoning him (as he prolly expected), she stays and fights to defend him. Which is where their relationship gets interesting.

Hm, I thought we decided that Matthias was just enough like Rhys that he could technically get out, so the ring was actually the key to his binding. I thought, I thought. o:

And yes, the ring is the key to Matthias' binding, but it's aspected to Rhys' power, which allowed Matthias to get past the golems.
