Me too, otherwise that's just ridiculous. Unless of course they are trying to put a limit on how big items can get... Which is also ridiculous.

I know there are limits for people who aren't upgraded, but I was pretty sure part of the upgrade included no item limits.
It fit the whole addition before, when I posted it. I suppose going back and editing might have to be done more judiciously in the future.

Oh no, Quaddy. Upgraded members have limits on their items too. I think Premium members are the only ones that don't. Or that one that comes after that.

I've never reached the limit in anything before and I have pieces that are well over 12k, which seemed to be the campfire cut off point here. I...will be really pissed if I have to shell out $200 bucks at a time to keep a Premium membership.

I know static items do... But it's a size limit, not a word count limit. Which I'm not even sure is accurate... They have a very strange system.

I saw that my novel had a limit, but it was something so ridiculously long, I'd have to have a novel twice as long to fill it up. I can only assume statics are similar.
Of course, it does say "You may enter a body as long as you like"...which is LIES!

May want to email support about that.

I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and that it's just an editing thing, not an initial post thing. If it turns out to be an initial post thing, however, I will totally flip out on them. In a way that doesn't get me kicked off the site forever, of course.

I remember I accidentally set a maximum word count on one of my campfires and asked how to remove it... They told me they didn't have a system for that yet. @_@

They should probably work on that...

Man, I feel bad for the guy in customer support that has to take your ticket Quaddy lol. If you decide to flip out that is.

*chuckles* Truth be told, I'm the politest person on the planet when it comes to Customer Support. I've worked in customer service for far too long to be rude. I'm not a pushover, either, but it's more like a steel magnolia situation than anything.

lol, this is all interesting feedback about the new look. I was able to toy around with it for awhile, so I don't mind it as much. As for the addition length problem. I'll see if I can re-create your problem Quaddy.

The only solution I've been able to come up with for you is to set the minimum to 1 and the Max to 9999999. I tried to re-create your problem, but the only time I was stopped was when I set the Max too low. After I set the Max to 9999999, I had no problem posting an addition as long as what you attempted to post. I hope that helps. Great addition btw.

I will go ahead and do that. It's a weird little quirk. I imagine Mynt is correct and it has something to do with editing the post instead of just posting it.
Thank you for your help! (And for reading the whole addition.)

So, I'm thinking I'm going to drop some campfires. Please don't take it personally. I need some air, and you guys deserve to have someone on board that wants to be there and is as enthusiastic about your project as you are. From now on, I will be a little more selective about the projects I join instead of just giving in to this insatiable need to be involved.

Well, it's become a vicious cycle where it becomes my turn and I have no love for my character or ideas for one and it gets stuck on my turn. And when I do want to write, I feel guilty because it's not for those campfires it's my turn in and I end up not writing at all. Then I feel guilty about not writing... I'm tired of it, so I want to free myself up to write for myself and for campfires I love.
