It did help. Thanks =) I am writing from the perspective of a child he is protecting and that is running much more smoothly than when I was trying to write from his perspective.
I am mostly having trouble with where I want to go with him plot wise. I like who the character is, I like his depth, but I am having a hard time giving him goals or enough flexibility for character development to happen. That and the more I write the more he comes out reminding me of the hound from game of thrones. As much as I like the character, I don't want to write a character that already exists. lol.

You know...I'm OK with Sandor being in this story. All characters already exist, after all; we just give them different names and different tasks.

Sometimes I write a whole four or five thousand words then realise it's for a different story. Go with your hands, they'll write it straight. =)

I am sorry to ask a silly question, but what was the name of the city they were all eventually going to end up meeting in? and it's for a festival right?
Im sorry to ask again. I am hopeless when it comes to navigating the new forum set up and was having a heck of a time finding anything again.

I'll repost the small summary of the cities here:
Alabaste- Marble and masonry work, Nilum- commerce and trade, Kings Falls(atop a cliff near a waterfall) science and philosophy, Kite Rhem- agriculture and food, Durvak- Silk, mostly art (music, writing, painting), Highglow (basically everything).

Hey! So I have my last exam on Wednesday so won't be looking at this til then, except then I'm on holiday for a week. If I write it out there can you forgive me the likely ten day gap? I have a plan, I have some of it already written, but I don't have anything to type on out on the sea.
