Cool, I'll read it when I get home Katt, I'm sure it's fine. Also, yes Matt I can't even blame you for a delay. Look how long Rebel is taking me.

Your add was just fine Kat. I do however have to make sure you keep something in mind.
Ruling class is a Monarchy headed by an Immortal King and an Immortal Queen ordain to rule for 100 years. In bordering countries this is also a common theme even if the ruling class is not a monarchy.
The King and Queen are a SERIOUSLY BIG DEAL. If this doesn't particularly fit with what you had in mind for the interactions and the like with the king then we could change it to be a duke or something. If you're fine with it though, it still works as is. The monarchs are members of the Council and thus know who we all are and had a hand in our memory erasing, so it would still make sense that they'd want to keep tabs.
Also, Quadd and Matt, I had a thought that Insano was a doctor or scientist before and the reason he's in the prison and they're not is because he had actually gotten close to figuring out their origin and a way to actually END THEM, and for some reason they cannot get rid of that specific memory of his research. It just keeps coming back.
I dunno, what do you guys think? Actually, I want everyone's opinion on that.

Sounds perfectly good to me...except, which them? Our them or the Monarchs them?

Immortals in general. He know how we can die. Well how to turn us mortal, which I'm thinking in the end is more of a reward than a punishment. I'm thinking that the ability to die is part of what makes one alive. From an earthly perspective at least. But yeah, I'm still thinking the drowning thing for the current immortals and not actually ending them.
They: The council do not want to die. They at this point, see themselves as gods who cycle through time keeping order in the land.
Of our characters I know some of them would want to have the option to pass on. To become mortal. Though I can see some such as Lethe not really wanting to.

Ha, yeah. If he had a choice, Lethe wouldn't choose death.

Heh, didn't think so. We might leave it open ended for readers to figure out who they think did and didn't ya know?

Since we haven't made it through the first round yet, it might be a bit early to think about the ending. xD

Well for me I have to have an ending in mind or I tend to trail cause I get new ideas in the middle of the story lol, but okay.

I don't like to know what's going to happen at the end because I already know what's going to happen and I get bored.

So why is everyone out to get our characters?

The other immortals you mean? I think it's going to have to do with them been in disagreement of the immortals holding a ruling council over the known world. This opposition lead the council to exiling them, but they didn't want them to be able to completely out them so they had to take away their memories.

But that's more like a personal thing. I doubt Lethe would care that much who was in charge.

You sure? He seems to be pretty adamant with what you've described him as about people having the freedom to enjoy their life and make their own choices. The council is basically holding all the cards. No mortals can have any more wealth or standing than they allow, everything is controlled by them either directly or behind the scenes.

I remember him being more laid back and all about happiness and enjoying himself.

Hmm, okay so what do you think then? Why do you think Lethe's memory would be taken? Because he was their friend? Because he simply didn't WANT to be in charge? Or do you have something more personal in mind?

I thought maybe because he learned something he shouldn't have, left enough clues to find it again, and so had his memory wiped twice.

It's not all about you Zeph. Maybe where the insane guy is. Or, more specifically, how to get him out.

Lol I know it's not, that's why I'm asking you.
I'd have to change that about Insano though. Before, he was in a prison deep under Highglow. Like underground old ruins of a city prison. Could have it though that he is barricaded off somewhere and can't get himself out without someone's help which would explain why he'd have had to entrust that info to someone.

If you'd like to change it to a duke or something that would be totally fine with me, Zeph. I made it the king at first to 1) show a sort of contrast from Javed's lack of interest in other. A hint that even though the king was super important and immortal, he specifically took the time to make arrangements for his family. Something Javed would not do. 2) because I wanted to also hint to the idea that Javed was a bit sketchy and thus not someone the king would really want a ton of people to know was in his employ. His name is recognizable, but he is not well known. But like I said, if you would prefer to change that then please feel free. =)

Oh, I was just giving you the details. It's really fine either way. Just wanted to make sure you knew the standing the king has in this world. A duke would be a prominent figure in a city but not immortal necessarily.
