I'm not sure what I want to accomplish, that's part of the problem. There's stuff all set for later, but I'm not one hundred percent sure how to get my character involved. I think a thief-y wasn't the best choice for this one. Maybe he just picks the wrong pocket...

Well, actually...I think this...might work.
Your character is a thief. Maybe he picks the wrong pocket, but instead of someone getting violent, he gets taken to Hel, who takes in local children sometimes. This gets him right in the swing of things. Maybe Hel asks him to steal the map and plant it for Embry to find, since Hel is all seer-y and knows what is going on in her city and in her world.

Or maybe the new character I want to introduce will drag Sera to Hel (xD).

*nods* That could work. Maybe your new character is a bit of a street rat himself. And Hel, recognize Sera for what he is, can mumble some suitable "seemingly crazy old lady actually saying foreshadowy things" stuff and send Sera to steal a map only to plant it somewhere instead of selling it.

Yeah, I'll try and work with that and see how far I get.

Poor slave guy. Perhaps he just isn't right for this story.

I actually started like three or four character bios for this one.

No need to bio up if you don't want to. You have permission not to bio for any of my CFs.

*dances.*
I'm looking over the other characters I discarded in favor of this one. I should have stuck with one of them. lol

Then write them in and Write Sera out.

Wait. So Matt's character breaks bonds. So like, if Sera is bound with whatever is on his shoulder, wouldn't he feel pain or burning in his character's presence?

*nods* Definitely. THE MASTER PLAN can stand a few character deviations.

Depends on how that magick works. But I am sure there's some sort of tingling going on when it happens. I think that was something was going to happen eventually if you stuck with Sera: the mark bound his powers as an intermediary between our world and the spirit world of the Terracotta.

So... yes burning or no burning?

You're fine, Zeph.
Anyway, I imagine a sort of...tingly burny...but not necessarily painful sensation. And then a feeling of freedom.
FREEEEDOOOOMMMM!!!!!

If you're around Kenaz?
Yes there is a burning. The way it works is that basic bonds of slavery and such are very loose magics that he easily breaks through conscious focus... but if they're just in his presence there'd be an uncomfortable tingling. As if something is trying to break from under your skin. Most bonds are pretty simple and dissolve before his Will as Dragon. But there are limitations and that changes the sensation. Generally he'd be going about, one eye on those who are entrapped or bound and Willing Wildness.
With more complicated bonds, ie. Rei's bond to Shade, he'd have to actually figure out a way to unravel the bond rather than just snap it. So if he was consciously seeking the bond you'd have that tingly burning discomfit but most of the time it would be a warmth, sort of soothing as he tries to figure out how it works.
