I'm pretty sure there's not going to be a complete novel for me this year but I still aim to write more than I have all year. And that's pretty much what I figure NaNo to be really.

I hope another 50k is enough for me to finish off Eve. I'd like to get it good enough to publish so I can get to work on something else...

I've seen many a person doing Double and even Triple NaNo every year. I don't know HOW they manage this, I'm fairly sure they take the month off work at the very least, lol.

The people who get to 150k boggle my mind. They seriously must just sit there and write for hours on end. Some of us have bills to pay and families to see occasionally. And then there's the matter of Thanksgiving right there in the closing stretches...
They must write like Brandon Sanderson, whom I'm pretty sure has had at least 5 different things come out this year. The last Wheel of Time book for Jordon, three novellas, and a Mistborn sequel-type novel thing. Seriously. How does the man do it? Because I'm fairly certain he writes his own stuff...not like people like James Patterson, who hires a ghost writer...

And no probs, Matt. I had issues logging in, too. I was fairly certain of my username, it was just the password that was giving me hell...again. Like every year.

oi what's the point of being a ghost writer like that!? I mean if one writes it and the other is supervising then it should at least get a dual authorship.

I believe some of them do get a mention beneath James Patterson...in tiny writing. But they do most of the writing.

Well I guess if their okay with that.
Kind of how I assume that the CFs we all do, that the Creator of the Item has the right to re-write the story and publish so long as the participants are honored well in the acknowledgements.

That's rather how I feel about it, too. I do try to get permission from everyone to use their character, and I change characters if I can't get such permission (or, really, if I can't get a hold of someone, as no one has ever said no), but I feel like Renegade is kind of mine and Matt's story, with help and support from everyone else. I mean, we kept it going when everyone went missing for a while, so that has to mean something...

Oh I feel that way about one of my campfires too. Although everyone pretty much gave me permission to use their character without my asking. xD

I'm glad we all agree on that. Love your helpers, and credit them that love. if you can't get a hold of them for permission make a few changes and still give them a bit of credit love. In the design world if it's 30% different it's not held to copyright. So It's not even that we HAVE to give credit but...
Keep the love going and let's keep any possible hard feelings as far away as possible right? lol

Well....fine. I will add your NEW account. Is the old one on the run from the Feds, or something?

Ah okay I can live with that. Unfortunately I was going to take your advice and start the Nano thing but i'm pretty stressed now. Just lost my job a couple of days ago. First time I've ever been let go. More free time but that's filled by trying to find another job. UGH!

I have no idea what to write for this. I've tried and instead of putting up something bad, I've gone for not putting something up at all. But I'm starting to feel a little guilt in holding this up. Should I skip myself or something?
