I think Matthias would develop the "in like" with her first because she's nice to him and he's never really had that, but he's also like "dude she's been abused and shit" so he wouldn't try to make a move or anything. So if they did get together on the journey to Summer, she'd have to give him some kind of indication that it was okay. He's not a particularly sweet guy, so he'd be terribly clumsy at any wooing. Unless she finds him killing people that come at her attractive.
