I never thought I'd say I'd had my fill of research but I think this essay is doing it. Literally spent my afternoon looking for every instance of the suffix '-ling' in Paradise Lost.

Why on EARTH would that have any bearing on your thesis?

More like, this thesis is ruining my interest in going off and researching things like American army ranks, whereas normally I'd be like OOOOO shiny new things to play with, let's go and find out all about them and how they differ from Britain.
See what I mean?

Yeah, I got that one...what I want to know is why you're looking for every instance of the suffix "-ling" in Paradise Lost. How exactly is this going to help your thesis?

OH! haha. Because '-ling' suffixes are antiquated and were antiquated even when Milton was around. However, there are words that use it like 'darkling' which are particularly poetic terms that only get used in poems really... Shakespeare, Spenser, Arnold. So I basically went through it today to see if there were more of those words. I was also looking for any other distinctively 'non-conversational' words/words that are only used in music/poetry/drama as I'm currently looking into the miltonic use of a 'secondary' language (to use Eliot's term for it).

I actually understood none of that. Something about looking at Milton through the scope of Eliot's notion of a 'secondary' language...? What exactly is a secondary language?
There's a reason I was never able to get an A in Literature classes. My professors always told me that I relied too much on quotes to prove my point...

I'm going with the idea that she hasn't encountered many people (at least not many of the current characters).

Also, your turn is going to come up again this round. I had to fix the order back to normal so you had time to introduce your character while everyone else was, but now it's gone back to normal. When that happens, I'll just skip you to go back to normal. So you definitely don't have to add twice this round.

Oh man, I got auto corrected a lot. Even with me continuously going back and trying to fix it back. And slipped tense in one sentence. Argh...

If you want to fix it, you can and send me the fixed addition and I'll replace it.
Also, nm on that warning. Matt is just going to have to add twice almost back-to-back in order to put things back to normal.
