Matt's been working an internship at a magazine and life's been ridiculous for him. A couple more days, I believe, and it's over and life will go back to normal. Of course, school starts up soon and Edinburgh is not an easy University to study at.

Wow, sounds really crazy. Best of luck to you Matt! Sheesh, that's a lot of work. If he doesn't wanna join I'll completely understand of course.

I'm HERE!!! Wow guys I think I'm on track now. Took longer than expected after I finished the intern thing, suddenly realised how much work I had to do before university starts up again. Right oh. I've read through things though - I'm getting the gist of it I think.
So there were a couple of ideas I had roaming around in my head. One was a woman - a Songstress, someone whose trained to use song as a weapon, she's also skilled with a boomerang (a pretty hefty three pointed monster), she's widowed and her son was taken from her to be a soldier though she knows not where he went. A recruit, via her husband, into Myr's following because of her witchy songs. Two is a chap, a good-looking sort of chap, with a sense of humour, who met Myr in a pub and told him a joke and Myr found it funny and he sort of just kept meeting Myr in the pub and then one day Myr told him a story and he made an oath to help Myr. He's a handy witchy sort of chap too, but his is a 'make the roads shorter' sort of witchery - does it all with sticks and runes and cards that his mother gave him. Good with weapons but not phenomenal.
Anyway, I've got errands and some last minutes things to do before Monday so I'd better get on it like tonic.
Matt

Hmmm cool cool. I like them both actually. Interesting stories all around.
Well if you like I'd say pick to writer for the one who you are leaning toward and we'll convert the other into one of the heroes who doesn't break out of Abner's employ for whatever personal reasons and they end up fighting against. Basically the way it goes is recruit or fight with the forgotten heroes.
I perfectly understand if you don't wanna make one of them a villain though.

So hi guys. I asked a whole bunch of questions and things but Zephyr wanted me to ask any further questions here so everyone could be involved. My recent questions were regarding sexism and racism in this world, so I'm putting those before the committee. I'm curious as to the technology of this world? Is it classic medieval type things? We use the fire place for warmth and candles/oil lamps, etc? And one of my previous questions was about magic in this world. I was told it was rare but the last category on the bio block is power and I was wondering if there were powers that were different than that of magic, or at least powers that weren't considered magic. I ask a lot of questions. I appreciate the patience.

It's fine Mynt. I'm planning on putting some other races and such on the board here probably tomorrow. Sexism isn't rampant but certain things are viewed as normal and abnormal but not necessarily evil or wicked. Hard work and strength are valued among both genders.
There are powers that would not be considered magic such as Lyn's semi-precognitive abilities.
Magic is very powerful and all of it comes from spoken words. Most people despise magic and will meet it with fear and anger, but some places find more understanding than others. Mages are rare and the study of magic is very difficult for most.

Oh and my character is supposed to be fairly young too, about Eziel's age. She is supposed to be Eziel's love interest. Zephyr suggested I asked if one of the current heroes wanted to be her parent. If not that is totally cool and everything.

Also, since I'm just now doing the races and countries thing if anyone would like to change their origin or anything like that we still have time and I can always go in and edit your bio block for you if it's already posted.

Lyn's children are royal, so unless you want to be royal, Mynt, I think being your character's mother isn't really gonna work. Unless you wanna be royal...

I don't really have much of a plan so if no one wants to be her parent, that's cool.

Oh, I'm sorry. The royal daughters are all a little young, I think. I like the name Lydia though, it's cute.

See, all Lydia's are dumbasses in my head. It's all the Pride and Prejudice re-reads throughout the years.

I was going for the L thing...then I got bored with it and went with Beatrice for the third daughter. I like to think Abner named Mykel and Lyn was going for an L theme, but by the time Bea came around, Lyn didn't much care anymore...

It's interesting to plot with you guys. I tend to do verything on the fly, so asking if I have planned ahead is a little funny. I think it would be an interesting idea/experience to play Quaddy's daughter. Is Eziel going to be king if they all succeed and stuff? Or is Lyn going to put her son on the throne? Or be queen?

I think I tossed out the idea that Mykel is a bit of a tyrant like his father...or shaping up to be one. So Lyn takes her daughters and escapes, leaving the girls with a local temple that is loyal to her, and going off to fight with Eziel. But Mykel actually turns the corner and ends up being the one to kill his father, becoming King.

Yeah I imagined something like that. I was thinking after a certain point a lot of people would be expecting Eziel to step up and take the role (because I believe Mykel will be a bit of a lost cause in most people's minds) and yet he inwardly doesn't want to and in truth really isn't suited for it. It makes more sense for Mykel who despite the slant in agenda was in fact raised to rule.
Also for those of you who like creating character we need about three or four more heroes preferably of varying races and upbringings both from the forgotten group and Abner's old party.
I can make em all myself but I thought I'd extend the offer for those who wanted to help out.
