Yeah, Wolfie started RPing on Tumblr and that was the last I heard of her. I know she was living in Jersey, so I'm hoping she was okay when the hurricane hit. I know that isn't why she disappeared but yeah. If she isn't responding to emails, then I would just go ahead and take over her character until she comes back (if she comes back). Also, hi beast.

I thought I would peek my head in again after being awayish for awhile. Interesting conversation, lol. I cleared 127k just before my family came, so I'm sitting pretty good with NaNo.

You do realise that my little inner-brain Laras is snarling at that last comment don't you? Seriously. Pissed. Off. Russian.
What happened to fucking Charon btw?
Also on the extra characters, I find most of mine are there for explorative reasons and so that I can bulk out additions with pov switching when I'm tired sometimes. Although I'm one of those readers that will just skip parts of a story sometimes because the characters aren't as interesting as other characters so I'm trying to cut down 'fillers' as it were.
Also I think I campfires were pretty much the easiest way to get feedback on your writing and also the best way to see it grow and develop. Sometimes I read back and I'm like 'dang that was awesome' and then I look a bit further back and I'm like... wow... that's reassuringly awful. You know? Aw campfires. Mainly RE though.
And you know why Mia's probably easier than Eve? Because she's also boosted up by the way other characters respond to her. She has more mindedness because she's actually involved in realistic dyadic relationships with other characters because she's viewed by your fellow cf writers and then transposed through other eyes. The characters are much more holistic, with genuine theories of mind and such because of the cf-format.

I figured. It's actually why I decided on Colt after some thought. Colt is, in a way, competition for Laras. He is a fighter in his own right, has led a rebel group (albeit briefly) and been part of the war itself, and he is a brawler rather than the carefully controlled fighter that Laras is. So I decided that it would be a battle of the blue-eyed warriors. It fit better than either Charon or Tada, who were the other options. This way, Laras can essentially see that he's losing Mia to a man he regards as a less capable version of himself. And when they finally sleep together, it should be enough to send Laras over the deep end.
I also think it has something to do with the fact that Lyn/Eve is quite passive. She accepts things that happen to her, and is constantly bending under pressure. If anything defines Lyn, it's hope that things might one day get better. But she always accepts everything and never fights back. Ultimately, it's this kindness that is her saving grace, but it's not my favorite personality trait.
Mia, on the other hand, is loud-mouthed and obnoxious, turns everything into a battle of wills, and can kill people with her pinkie. She is someone that might be difficult to like in real life, but somehow is really loveable.

Blargh. I'm bored of my novel. I like X best when he's doing exciting things.

Yous all put me to shame. I've sort of had to call it quits. Too much essay. Too much applications. Also just totally out of whack after that bike accident. Sapped me out.

Hey, be proud of the awesomeness that you did accomplish. Did you write more this month than you have in a while? Or did you start something that you will come back to and write later? Maybe you wrote something that was pretty awesome? Then that's enough.

*points to what Mynt said* That. Also, Mynt...*points to what Mynt wrote* You should believe that, too.
Also...Wolf. How much? Do you know that that's more for one novel than I have written in two years for mine? Sheesh.

I was thinking... if you included the essays and applications that I've done this month my word count goes up to 73,157.

I say that counts! You're writing and writing is what this is all about. So I say you plug in 73,157 words and click "WIN!"

Also Quaddy - I hope you don't mind, I AM still writing my NaNo so RE.2 addition might not happen til the 1st.....
Then again, Laras is a much more formidable character now that you've thoroughly pissed the wanker off. Thanks by the way. That's really made the last couple days easier whilst I've been bullshitting about how valuable my time in America was as a way of 'broadening my horizons' etc.
What 'broadening my horizons' means is getting really really drunk in Chapel Hill's limited clubs, interacting with a load of baby-rednecks, taking ridiculous credit hours, having really good sex and oh yeah backpacking from one side of your country to the other. As if the universities I'm applying for cannae see straight through my artless personae.

Like no kidding. Maybe it's just go to a foreign country and you get laid well? Mayhap it's any country regardless as long as it's not yours!?
But seriously I can't see backbacking from the east coast to the west coast. Sounds rather boring lol. America doesn't have much to offer other then long drawn out landscape lol.

That is just silly. The South East has the Blue Ridge, Appalachia, the Bayou, etc. The Northeast has NY, Boston, Philly, and all that history. Then the plains. Which are beautiful in their own way, especially when there's a storm. But you could also go through the Black Hills or the Badlands, which are awesome. Then you get the Rockies. And the Rockies are...the Rockies. There's the desert. New Mexico is gorgeous. The Grand Canyon is awe-inspiring.
America is gorgeous. Sunset over the desert is...breathtaking.
I've driven this nation. And it is magickal. The beauties of nature. The local food. The tourist traps on the side of the road. The Indian reservations. The local crafts. The local architecture. I think this nation has so much to offer, it's practically never-ending in its grandeur. Big, open...free. I love America.
Also, Matt, take your time with Rebel. The longer Laras stews, the more fun he gets. Mia is pleased that she managed to piss him off. She wants to get a rise out of him.
